3 Steps To Your Purpose

"The Secret to Success is making your Vocation your Vacation"

Mark Twain

You see that big ocean above, it is tremendously scary (lol) to me. It is also one of the most fun things to do. You would really enjoy it, but first, you must actually get up and do it. Your dreams are no different. You have to rise up and #justdoit for it to transform your life.

'How to do what I love and win?'

This is a question I get asked a lot. The first thing I will say is that you already know what it is. It is you, all you -- do you! However, take yourself on a journey to google. Do a research on the top athletes, the multimillionaires. Then take a look at who is the driving force behind them. There is always a coach. In sports, having a coach is like second nature -- right? -- because it is sports. But, what makes that different from any other career? To become a multimillionaire, you need the team behind you to achieve it. That is what a career coach is for, to keep you accountable.

A career coach connects individuals to their passion, purpose, calling, essence and self discovery.

As a career coach, I stand behind my clients and I decide that he or she will win. My clients will not fail, not on my watch. They can quit, that is their prerogative, but if you are ready to do the work, I am ready to help you strategize to win.

The 3 steps to discovering your purpose:

1. Hire A Coach

Yes, I said it. Self discovery is about going beneath your surface. Get someone who can help you unearth your full potential.

If your work does not fulfill you, give you purpose and add meaning to your life, you are wasting your time.

2. Do the work.

Nothing in this life comes easily -- absolutely nothing. So you can decide to work for your own fulfillment and happiness, or you can work that 9 to 5 'til you're in the ground. Either way you get to decide.

This happens in the midst of affluent societies and in the midst of welfare states! For too long we have been dreaming of a dream from which we are now waking up: the dream that if you just improve the socio-economic status of people, everything will be OK, people will become happy. The truth is that as the struggle for survival has subsided, the question has emerged: survival for what? Ever more people today has the means to live but no meaning to live for.

Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning

3. Own Your Truth

It is as simple as it seems. You don't win by believing you can win. You win because you know you are a winner. You have to know what you want, feel and are capable of. In other words, you must know what is true for you and be willing to take effective actions in your own best interest.

Purpose is the conscious choice of what, where, and how to make a positive contribution to our world. It is the theme, quality, or passion we choose to center our lives around.
