I Don't Mind
I don't mind being a failure in your eyes
Sometimes failures help us to thrive
Thomas Edison made it clear when he spoke,
I'm learning 10,000 ways it won't work

I don't mind being broken publicly
There is power in my story
"If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life"
That's just pure wisdom from the great Marcus Garvey, I like!
I don't mind that you disagree
But my instinct will be what guides me
Nelson Mandella, he said it bold,
“I am the captain of my soul.”
I don't mind having to start over
Winning requires some degree of failure
“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”
Martin Luther King Jr.'s words give me hope
I don't mind not being perfect
As long as I progress with courage
“Who are you to judge the life I live?
I know I'm not perfect
-and I don't live to be-
but before you start pointing fingers...
make sure your hands are clean!”
Thank you, Bob Marley
I don't mind doing the work
Faith is my solace, I never lose hope
'Nothing will work unless you do'
What Maya Angelou said here is very true
"Money just draws flies"
Mahalia Jackson wrote those lines
Perhaps she was feeling like I am in this moment
I'm not your lucky charm, I am nobody's token
I don't mind, not being accepted
All the greats were once rejected
My allegiance is to the Divine
Everything else must fall inline
